Phoenix Search has been exclusively retained by Frontline Ventures, a leading venture capital firm with €435m in assets under management, to identify a transformative CFO/COO to join their high-performing team. This is a pivotal leadership role designed to enable Frontline’s next phase of growth, supporting its global ambitions across Europe and North America.

As the firm expands, this leadership hire will play a critical role in ensuring Frontline’s continued success and operational excellence.
The Role
As CFO/COO, you will operate at the heart of the partnership, driving financial and operational strategy while supporting the firm's long-term goals. Based in either Dublin or London, you will lead the Finance & Operations team, ensuring Frontline continues to operate in a compliant, entrepreneurial, and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead a Finance & Operations team of 3-5, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Financial & Regulatory Oversight: Oversee all financial, tax, and compliance processes, including statutory and internal reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage interactions with global regulators, including the CBI in Ireland and relevant authorities in the UK and US.
- Investor Relations Support: Collaborate with Investor Relations to onboard investors, streamline fund lifecycle communications, and cultivate relationships with Frontline’s diverse global investor base
- Operational & Strategic Enablement: Drive operational improvements and spearhead strategic initiatives to empower the partnership and improve productivity across the firm.
- Stakeholder Management: Build trusted relationships with internal teams, investors, and external partners, ensuring professional and effective communication.
We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Finance & Operations leader with the following qualifications:
- Qualified accountant with a solid understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance, ideally with experience in the fund management industry.
- Proven experience working in partnerships or matrixed organizations, particularly across Europe, the UK, and the US.
- Operational, strategic, and project management expertise in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High EQ and strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust with colleagues, stakeholders, and investors.
- Solutions-focused, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating ambiguity with a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with corporate law, including transaction coordination with legal teams, is an advantage.
