The Opportunity:

This person will also act as DP Regulatory Compliance supported by junior staff and compliance colleagues in Dublin and London. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Advise and support the organisation on its ongoing legal, regulatory, compliance and operational obligations 
  • Advise on the relevant Central Bank requirements ensuring ongoing adherence with its requirements. Liaise with the Central Bank on ongoing and/or ad hoc issues
  • Horizon scan for relevant legal and regulatory developments, advise the business, & update policies
  • Regularly monitor and assess effectiveness of existing policies and procedures.
  • Advise and assist relevant Designated Persons on their obligations per UCITS and AIFM Regulations.
  • Draft, review and maintain fund prospectuses, supplements & material contracts for the relevant funds. 
  • Assist with cross-border sales issues and distribution agreements as appropriate. 
  • Report to the relevant board of directors at quarterly board meetings, and more frequently if required.
  • Liaise with service providers & stakeholders on fund matters as appropriate.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Central Bank and other relevant authorities as required.
  • Engage & manage external counsel relationship.
  • Ad hoc projects as required
Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • 7+ years PQE in house within an asset manager or in the funds practice of a commercial law firm.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant legal and Central Bank requirements for CBI regulated funds and management companies (UCITS and AIFM), including UCITS and AIFMD requirements. 
  • Understanding of the management, operation and distribution of fund products and provision of portfolio management solutions.
  • Experience liaising with the Central Bank and/or other regulators.
  • Experience dealing with regulators and managing the process around regulatory applications.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral).
  • Adaptable, commercial, solutions-focused.
