Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Support all functions of the finance department as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to produce time-sensitive financial reports and ensure timely submission to relevant departments.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with external auditors, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Support the Finance Team with monthly and day-to-day finance tasks, including the month-end close process.
  • Assist in managing the Finance office's daily operations, including implementing updates, changes, and improvements.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the Finance Department.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in an accounting or book-keeping role.
  • Experience in the voluntary sector is preferable but not essential.
  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification is desired but not essential.
  • Confident self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Advanced Excel and IT skills, including a strong working knowledge of Office 365.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is essential.
  • Experience operating payroll systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across a multidisciplinary organisation.
