We are assisting our client, a very prestigious global financial services institution, to hire an experienced attorney, with solid corporate investment banking/capital markets transactional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on CIB transactions, including but not limited to, Initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and private placements, debt offerings for domestic and international issuers.

• Advise on compliance matters.

• Advise on legal and regulatory developments impacting the financial services industry and provide guidance to management.

• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures across the corporate and investment banks.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Manage a team.

• Manage external counsel.

• Advise lines of business on best practices that help minimize legal and litigation risk.

• Assist in developing and managing departmental budget for both internal and external legal spend.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted in good standing in at least 1 US jurisdiction, ideally New York, for minimum of 10 years.
• Experience advising financial institution clients

• Ideally have a combination of law firm and in-house
