Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a team of tax trainees and junior managers
- Collaborate with tax partners to deliver timely, commercially savvy tax advice to Irish and global clients
- Identify opportunities for new products or services to meet client needs
- Drive internal technical advancements, business development, and training initiatives
- Ensure meticulous management of the department’s budget, including meeting fee collection targets
- Delegate tasks effectively, manage workloads, and review client engagements
- Mentor and develop junior members of the VAT team
Desired Skills and Qualities:
- 8+ years' experience as a Chartered Tax Advisor, ideally within a Big 4/Top 10 firm or legal practice
- Excellent knowledge of VAT legislation and regulations
- International/cross-border tax expertise is advantageous but not obligatory
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
