Phoenix is delighted to exclusively partner with an innovative global investment fund provider seeking to further expand its Dublin-based Irish operation.

Our client seeks to hire a dynamic and motivated Designated Person for Operational Risk Management (PCF39B) & Fund Risk Management (PCF39C) on a hybrid working basis. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for implementation of the risk management framework.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the funds under management are managed in accordance with the entity’s risk management framework, fund offering documents, internal and regulatory risk limits.
  • Manage and monitor risk profile of the funds per stated risk appetite.
  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework and Risk register.
  • Responsible for completion of the Business Unit Risk Assessments.
  • Manage, oversee and develop the operational risk system to include identifying, managing, and reporting key risk processes for errors & breaches, operational resiliency, counterparty risk and key risk indicators.
  • Management of escalation of breaches per internal and external protocols and regulations.
  • Production of management information/reporting as relevant DP. Attend internal committee and board meetings.
  • Manage and develop the business continuity process and systems including maintenance of business continuity plan.
  • Responsible for relevant policies with risk element, update regularly, & ensure all relevant approvals in place.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven risk experience in the asset management or funds sector. 
  • Suitable qualifications and experience relevant to PCF39B & PCF39C roles.
  • Prior relevant PCF experience advantageous, but not critical depending on experience
  • UCITS ETF experience preferable.
  • Management company experience highly advantageous.
  • Experience in Digital Assets beneficial. 
  • Proven in-depth experience of relevant regulations/guidance issued by the CBI and other relevant European regulatory bodies. Includes the CBI's Fund Management Company Guidance (CP86) UCITS, and CP138 (Outsourcing) and CP140 (Operational Resilience). 
  • Proven experience analysing risks associated with a wide range of financial instruments used in complex investment strategies.
  • Proven ability to successfully build and develop relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external. 
  • Proven self-starter, with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and excellent team player.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable, positive, and solutions-focused.
