Investment Manager / Investment Associate – Private Equity (Dublin)

The Opportunity

A leading Irish private equity firm is seeking an Investment Manager / Investment Associate to join its high-calibre team in Dublin. The firm has a strong track record of investing in and partnering with small to medium-sized private businesses in Ireland. 

The Role

This position will involve working closely with senior leadership to analyse, execute, and manage investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial modelling, due diligence, deal structuring, and ongoing portfolio management. As part of a small, collaborative team, they will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to high-impact transactions and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting financial modelling and investment analysis
  • Evaluating and executing potential transactions, including valuations and structuring
  • Leading and managing certain due diligence workstreams
  • Supporting debt financing for acquisitions
  • Preparing investment committee memos and recommendations
  • Overseeing portfolio company performance and engaging with management teams
  • Assisting in investment exits and investor reporting

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment.

Key qualifications and attributes:

  • Strong academic record
  • 4–6 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, consulting, or financial due diligence
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (LBO experience is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience managing deal processes and supporting transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-team setting
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Self-starter with confidence, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset
