Our client is an internationally recognised business services platform that provides operational and strategic support to their client base across both investment funds and global corporate entities, and who need critical support in the pursuit of world-class business administration.

The firm seeks to appoint a global Tax & Statutory Accounting (T&SA) Director who will lead a function that allows clients to integrate and streamline their regulatory reporting and compliance requirements in one streamlined process with one truly global partner.

This is a critical role in the firm.   Working as part of the finance senior management team, the hire will lead a multi-jurisdictional T&SA team, across the UK, the US, and Asia, and will play a leading role in shaping the wider organisation across all other international offices.

The role is broad and challenging.  Key responsibilities will include (for example), 
Managing and developing a team of global Tax (both Corporate & Indirect) and Statutory Accounting Compliance operational relationship managers to be the direct client point of contact for clients and key stakeholders to deliver world-class global tax and statutory accounting compliance. Indeed, the role is instrumental in supporting clients to draw together product solutions for clients, which include technology solutions, upcoming regulatory changes, global arbitrage, and tax efficiency management.

The T&SA Director will provide direction, support, and training to the wider T&SA team where appropriate; and will demonstrate their credentials on T&SA to both clients in resolving problems and training and mentoring the wider team.

The hire will also maintain ongoing internal relationships, and liaising with relationship management teams to administer best-in-class information and service levels and client satisfaction.

The role will benefit someone who also has a commercial mindset.  An individual who can connect the lines between the client's wider Solutions, from an operational delivery and client service perspective, will naturally thrive in this role. 

The role will also indirectly partner with other business units including the Commercial teams  (including General Management, Sales, and Business Development teams) to generate wider business opportunities.
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate world-class tax and accounting knowledge and show commitment to clients.  The individual will need be commercial to identify opportunities to continually provide first-class services to clients globally, have experience of working in a global and complex business, be resilient, and show the capacity to embrace complexity, change and transition.

The suitable candidate will have trained and qualified with a professional accounting qualification in an Accountancy Practice and be Senior Manager or Director level.  Given the nature of the role, the candidate will also need to show demonstrable knowledge of Tax and Accounting reporting rules and be comfortable engaging clients in these matters.
